President's Day Books for Speech Language Development
President’s Day is just around the corner and I always like to incorporate holidays into speech-language therapy. It is important to teach kids about American history starting at a young age. Over the years, I have found several books that teach children about President’s Day and also allows for a perfect time to work on speech and language skills. While reading these books I introduce new vocabulary and work on wh-questions (‘what’, ‘who’, ‘where’, ‘when’, ‘why’). Below is a list of my favorite books about President’s Day!
